What to Expect from a Solar Installation
From site survey to handover — what happens on solar installation day and afterwards.
What happens, step by step
- Site survey — a qualified installer visits to assess your roof, switchboard, wiring and shading.
- Quote & design — we confirm the system layout, components, costs and timeline for your approval.
- Equipment delivery — panels, inverter, batteries and mounting gear arrive, checked before install day.
- Installation day — most home systems take one to two days. Power is switched off for part of the install.
- Commissioning & testing — the system is tested, configured and explained to you.
- Handover — you get your compliance paperwork and warranty details, and the system goes live.
After the installation
- Keep your commissioning report and certificates somewhere safe — you'll need them for insurance.
- Panels benefit from occasional cleaning in dusty areas.
- Monitor your system's app or display, and contact support if anything behaves unexpectedly.
Warranty and support
Solar components carry manufacturer warranties — check your handover documents for exact terms. If something fails, contact support with your installation details and we'll arrange a technician.
